I have been a practicing clinician since 2018. I graduated from Walla Walla University with a Masters in Social Work. Throughout my internships and since graduating I have provided services primarily to school aged clients and their families through private practice, school-based services, community mental health, and tribal health. Though I have served all generations whether in a clinical setting or as a social worker.
My therapeutic style is based on the belief that we innately and intuitively have resources that we use to cope with life though they may not be the healthiest options or we may not realize that we use them. Though I have various trainings, I like to think outside of the box to find options that work best for each client and their beliefs. Therapy is a unique journey in the fact that what works for one person may not work for another. Through a sense of curiosity and teamwork we can develop a strategy that works best for you.
I specialize in helping people who feel lost. When we lose ourselves we feel unhappy, anxious, lost, and disconnected. When we experience disconnection in life it can look like discontent, feelings of “stuck”, and anxiousness. Disconnection may be a bi-product of trauma, life stressors, lack of belonging, and/or unhealthy coping skills. Healing the disconnection by rebuilding and strengthening connection creates safety within oneself which strengthens the whole person. At Whispering Winds we focus on reconnection with oneself, the environment, and others through strengthening personal interests, nature, and the support of horses.
