Ana Aguilar obtained her Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University in 2017 and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Washington. Ana has experience working with children and providing parent support in a school setting developing skills in stress reduction, self-regulation, and communication, as well as experience working with monolingual Spanish-speaking individuals in the areas of grief/loss and personal growth. Her approach to treatment is strength-based, client-centered, and trauma informed and she strives to create a therapeutic space in which to work collaboratively with clients to meet their individual needs and goals. She utilizes treatment perspectives based on and tailored to each individual client’s needs; her tool kit includes an eclectic mix of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Play Therapy, among others. Ana currently works under the supervision of a Licensed Mental Health Counoselor.
