My Education, Training, and Experience:
I have worked in the helping profession with children, adults, and families for almost 10 years in government, healthcare, and school-based settings. I am bilingual in Spanish with extensive travel experience abroad that has expanded my view of the world and it’s various cultures and perspectives. I received my undergraduate (B.A.) degree in Spanish with a minor in Psychology in 2010 and graduated with my master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from a clinically based graduate program at Walla Walla University in 2016. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Work Associate in the state of Washington (License# SC60954716).
My Treatment Modality and Therapeutic Orientation:
I commonly use a strengths-based and person-centered approach that also individualizes treatment based interventions to assist each unique person. I work to create a safe and supportive environment that meets people where they are at in order to help individuals meet their personal goals. I utilize other various treatment perspectives based on and tailored to each individual’s strengths, needs, and goals for wellness. While personalizing treatment, I also maintain a biopsycho-social treatment perspective with the consideration for person-in-environment theory.
